Folding a Fitted Sheet

Learning how to fold a fitted sheet is not an easy task. Many never master it and some just roll the sheet and stuff it in the laundry box. Wouldn't it be lovely to have a perfectly folded sheet.

Fitted sheets are an easy and quick way to change your bedding. Our sheets are fitted with an all round elastic hem and double stitched corners to make sure they last. Unlike flat sheets the elastic hem makes it easy to fit the sheet over the mattress, allowing you to tuck the edges of the sheet into place. Once on the bed the finish looks neat with minimum effort tucking in and neatening all your corners.

'My Fitted Sheet looks great but when I try to fold them they end up in a ball!'

Folding a fitted sheet is a bit of a hidden art and is a question we get asked a lot.  So, we thought it would be a great idea to post a blog along with a few infographics to help you get a neat linen cupboard!

Check our step by step guide below.

Spread the 4ft fitted sheet on a flat surface

Step one: Lay your sheet flat on a flat surface (your bed), elastic side up.

Fold the sheet in then tuck in the corners

Step two: In each hand take each of the corners closest to you. And fold the sheet in half taking those two corners up to the top.  Took all the elastic bits in at the sides.

Fold again then slide each corner under

Step three: Your sheet should now look folded in half. Fold again and smooth out with the palms of your hands.

Fold the sheet in 3 and hide elastic

Step four: Fold your sheet into thirds with the elastic on the inside.

Fold to the size you need and store somewhere cool and dry

Step 5: Continue folding until your sheet is your desired size.

Ta da....!

Your fitted sheet is folded ready for storage!
