How to care for your luxury bedding

Bed sheets need to be washed regularly so that they maintain their freshness and help promote a good night's sleep. We have put together this guide to help you understand how to wash and care for your bedding.

Washing:

How often should you wash your bedsheets:

To keep dust mites and other allergens at bay, we suggest washing and changing your sheets once a week.

Always try to wash your whites on a cooler setting to avoid them going grey. Also, make sure you do not wash above the specified temperature on the label. To help the environment if your sheets are not dirty then wash at 30 or on an eco cycle.

Drying:

It is important to follow the instructions for drying on the care label of the product you are drying, drying at higher temperatures can cause shrinking, wrinkling and over-drying which can cause the fibres in the fabric to become weaker. To prevent this you can set your dryer to a “less-dry” setting which will leave your bedding less dry but will also prevent over-drying.

Drying sheets outdoors gives them a nice, fresh scent plus it saves energy. However drying your sheets outside may cause them to feel rough, you can also put your sheets into the dryer for a few minutes to soften them up afterwards.

Bleaching:

Though bleaching can help get rid of nasty stains and unwanted marks, it can quite easily damage certain fabrics, that’s why we recommend to not use bleach on most of our products as it can cause irreversible damage, always check the care label on your sheets to see if they do permit bleaching and if so what type of bleach.

Washing Instructions Guide:

Before we continue, below we have provided you with a handy guide to the symbols on our washing labels.
