Velcro Bed Valance – Why are they better?

Although advances in bed linen aren’t seen as the biggest leaps in human evolution, when it comes to home life every little helps! Valances when placed on the bed can be troublesome. Your whole mattress has to be taken off the bed for the base valance to go on, this usually means the fitted sheet (and mattress protector if you have one) will come off as well. Once you’ve got valance is in place. Your mattress and bedding has to go back on.

Sounds like a strain? That’s because it usually is! Especially with larger mattresses, it can be even more of a problem for the elderly and those less able. With our sticky velcro strip placed around the top of the bed and the other part of our velcro stitched into the valance, it can simply be stuck around the edge of the bed to give the illusion of a full base valance. Then when its time to wash your valance simply remove the valance via the velcro, get it laundered, then re-attach it without the problems of remove and replacing your mattress! So there you have it, why fight with a mattress when you want to wash your valance when a velcro attached valance will make it so much easier.
