Velcro Bed Valance – Why are they better?

Our velcro bed valance is a great alternative to the heavy lifting involved with normal bed valances.

Although advances in bed linen aren’t seen as the biggest leaps in human evolution, when it comes to home life every little helps! Valances when placed on the bed can be troublesome. Your whole mattress has to be taken off the bed for the base valance to go on, this usually means the fitted sheet (and mattress protector if you have one) will come off as well. Once you’ve got valance is in place. Your mattress and bedding has to go back on.

Sounds like a strain? That’s because it usually is! Especially with larger mattresses, it can be even more of a problem for the elderly and those less able. Our new velcro bed valance (also known as an easy fit valance) is a very useful alternative that takes away all the hassle of lugging your mattress around the bedroom.

We have a great range of velcro bed valances available online. Our UK base manufactures 100% cotton and 50/50 poly cotton velcro bed valances fabrics in several colours and designs. Each come in a range of colours to suit most bedrooms, with 12 available in poly cotton and white and ivory available in 100% cotton. On our webpage the style of the valance can also be chosen with 3 designs available on 1 site, as shown in the image frilled, box pleated and single pleat designs can be selected.

With our sticky velcro strip placed around the top of the bed and the other part of our velcro stitched into the valance, it can simply be stuck around the edge of the bed to give the illusion of a full base valance. Then when its time to wash your valance simply remove the valance via the velcro, get it laundered, then re-attach it without the problems of remove and replacing your mattress! So there you have it, why fight with a mattress when you want to wash your valance when a velcro attached valance will make it so much easier.

One of the most frequent enquiries we get at Victoria Linen is for valances that will cover the workings of an adjustable bed. With most makes the machinery of an adjustable bed is held in the base. A valance can cover over these moving bars and also finish off the bed when it is back in its standard position. Victoria Linen manufacture these valances in our factory in Lancs UK. We make valances that are made to fit the moving board on some types of bed, such as the Craftmatic and Adjustamatic models, these valances fit under the mattresses and hold on when the bed is moving. They also come with a seperate cover for the footboards at the foot of the bed. Other adjustable beds have slatted wooden parts that move the bed, for these we produce a velcro attached valance that will fit neatly around the base of the bed and do not interfere with the workings of the bed.
