Sales of larger and outsized beds continue to grow around the world, bucking the trend of the current recession.

The individuality and luxury of having a bed that can measure over 2 metres across is something that people with enough money have found hard to resist. Bed linen manufacturer Victoria Linen Company have recognised this growing trend and as such have developed specific sections and products that are made to fit these sizes of beds perfectly. Victoria Linen Managing Director Matthew Fallon confirms, “These beds are the pinnacle of luxury in the bedroom, but bed linens for Caesarand Emperor bed sizes are incredibly hard to find, because we stock the widest rolls of cotton available we are able to produce a range of fitted larger bed sheets and covers made specifically to fit these beds”. Using the larger rolls of fabrics means products like larger fitted sheets and flat sheets can be made from one piece of material, which means the sheets aren’t made with an ugly border at the side of the mattress and also makes them much longer lasting.

Victoria Linen have gone as far as showcasing their manufactured linens in sections dedicated to these larger beds. The website www.victorialinen.co.uk has individual sections for customers with 8ft Caesar beds and 7ft Emperor beds, these cover fitted sheets, mattress protectors and other accessories such as larger duvets and longer pillows. These make up part of a niche section in the website that gives over sections to adjustable bed linens, linens for small double 4ft beds and waterbeds. The niche sections also go as far as showcasing 4 poster bed drapes made for customers with four poster beds, (and elaborate tastes!) along with drapes, bedspreads and curtains in jacquard fabrics to match.

As these niche areas in bed linen continue to grow Victoria Linen is keen to incorporate any and all beds into its product range with plans including website sections for specific large and adjustable bed companies as well as an online portal for ordering made to measure curtains.
