Designed for 90 x 200cm European Single Mattresses

A 90 x 200cm mattress is commonly described as a European Single, Euro Single or IKEA Single.

It differs from a standard UK Single mattress, which normally measures approximately 90 x 190cm. Although the width is similar, the European Single is around 10cm longer.

That extra length means a standard UK Single mattress protector may be too short and can pull tightly at the corners.

Our 90 x 200cm quilted mattress protector is made to the correct European Single dimensions for a better fit.

This size is commonly found on:

• IKEA Single beds
• European Single beds
• Euro Single mattresses
• Continental Single beds
• Long Single beds
• Imported European mattresses
• 90 x 200cm mattresses from European furniture manufacturers

Choose the Correct Mattress Depth

Mattress depth is just as important as choosing the correct width and length.

We offer a choice of depths so you can select a protector suitable for standard, deep and extra-deep 90 x 200cm mattresses.

Before ordering, measure vertically from the top surface of your mattress to the bottom edge.

If you use a mattress topper underneath the protector, include the topper when taking your measurement.

Choosing sufficient depth helps prevent the fitted sides from becoming overly tight and reduces the risk of the elasticated edge pulling away from the mattress corners.

Ideal for Deep and Pillow-Top Mattresses

Many modern European and IKEA mattresses are deeper than traditional mattress designs, particularly hybrid, pillow-top and premium mattresses.

A standard-depth protector can be difficult to fit securely around these thicker mattresses.

By selecting the appropriate depth, you can achieve a more comfortable fit without overstretching the sides or elasticated edge.

The deeper options also make this protector suitable for many 90 x 200cm mattresses used with a separate mattress topper.

Comfortable Quilted Everyday Protection

The soft quilted polyester surface creates a comfortable protective layer between your mattress and fitted sheet.

It helps protect your mattress against:

• Dust
• Perspiration
• Everyday marks
• General mattress wear
• Occasional light spills

The protector is designed to sit discreetly beneath your fitted sheet and can be removed easily for washing whenever required.

Please note that this protector is splash resistant rather than fully waterproof.

If you require protection against larger spills, accidents, bedwetting or significant moisture, we recommend choosing a waterproof mattress protector instead.

This size is commonly known as a European Single, Euro Single or IKEA Single mattress.

Is a 90 x 200cm mattress the same as a UK Single?

No. A standard UK Single mattress normally measures approximately 90 x 190cm, while a European Single measures 90 x 200cm.

The European Single is therefore around 10cm longer.

For the best fit, choose a mattress protector made specifically for the 90 x 200cm size.

Is this mattress protector suitable for an IKEA 90 x 200cm bed?

Yes. If your IKEA mattress measures exactly 90 x 200cm, this protector is designed to fit it.

Always check the dimensions shown on your mattress label before ordering.

Is 90 x 200cm considered a long single?

Yes. In the UK, 90 x 200cm is often treated as a long single because it is approximately 10cm longer than a standard UK Single mattress.

Can I choose the mattress depth?

Yes. Select the appropriate mattress depth from the options above.

Measure vertically from the top surface of your mattress to the bottom edge before ordering.

Will it fit a deep or pillow-top mattress?

Yes, provided you select sufficient depth for your mattress.

The choice of depths makes this protector suitable for many deep, hybrid and pillow-top 90 x 200cm mattresses.

Will it fit over a mattress topper?

Yes, provided you choose enough depth to accommodate both your mattress and topper.

Measure from the top of the topper to the bottom edge of the mattress and select the appropriate depth.

Is this mattress protector waterproof?

No. This quilted protector is splash resistant and intended for general everyday mattress protection.

If you require full protection against liquids, accidents or larger spills, choose a waterproof mattress protector instead.
