As we know at Victoria Linen, beds come in all shapes and sizes which is why we cater for all kinds of beds. One type of bed which isn’t as common is the round bed and as you can imagine the bed linen isn’t easy to find.

Round beds first appeared on the residential market back in 1968 with Luigi Massoni’s rotating lullaby bed for Poltrona Frau and today there are many more round beds on the market than you would know about. The selection varies widely: from super high end rotating beds to custom platform beds and mattresses.

Bed linen for round beds can be difficult to find in stores on the high street therefore people have to rely on the internet to search for their bed linen; and that is why we are here! At Victoria Linen we have always manufactured fitted sheets and mattress protectors for round beds in a variety of fabrics; however a bed isn’t any good without a duvet is it? And we know that it’s not easy to find a round duvet but look no further, they’re now available on our website in a variety of diameters and togs.

Our round duvets are Hollowfibre Dacron Comforel filled and are available in a variety of togs including 4.5, 10.5 and 13.5.  All of the duvets have approximately a 40cm overhang for each side of the bed; the sizes are all shown in sized by the diameter of the bed, the sizes we have available are:

Bedding Sets, all new at our latest photoshoot

photo-1Check out the images from our latest photo shoot, shot in a Stately Home to showcase our new bedding sets for standard and bespoke beds.

This photo shoot is focused mainly on our new bed runners, bedspreads and cushions linen along with duvet covers, pillow cases. As you can see in the images all of the fabrics coordinate on the bedding sets, with certain fabrics complementing others perfectly.

All of the bed linen products which you can see in the images are all UK made in our factory by our seamstresses based in Lancashire and can be made to any specific size which is required. We hold hundreds of fabrics in our showroom which will be suitable for bed linen where you will always be welcome to come in and browse through them; however if you aren’t located close to us we will happily send out a selection of fabric samples in your choice of colour/patterns until you find that perfect fabric.

Keep snug this winter with a new duvet in standard and custom sizes.

When it comes to choosing the perfect duvet there is a lot to think about dependent upon the current season and different fillings available. There are 3 main factors to consider when choosing a duvet which are the tog rating, the filling and obviously the size.

The tog rating is basically how warm the comforter will be, the ratings vary from a 3 tog up to a 13.5 tog; the lower tog duvets are more suitable for the summers and warmer seasons where as the higher tog duvets are best for winter time to keep you toasty warm.

The filling is usually a personal choice; this has no effect on the tog rating. There are a variety of fillings available at Victoria Linen which are explained below.

Hollow Fibre – these duvets are filled with 100% polyester hollow fibre and have a 100% cotton cover giving it a soft touch and meaning it gently wraps around the body for super comfort.

Duck Feather and Down – these duvets consist of 90% duck feather and 10% duck down with a 100% cotton cover. This type of filling is the lightest of all but because of that it allows you to get cosy in tucked in perfectly.

Goose Down – these duvets consist of 90% premium goose down with a 100% cotton cover for comfort and breathability. This type of filling is incredibly light but also provides the warmth it should.

For the winter season a higher tog duvet will be needed to get through those chilly, icy and snowy nights. A 13.5 tog duvet would be perfect with a filling of your choice and in the size to wrap around your bed superbly.

At Victoria Linen we provide customers with duvets in standard sizes as well as custom sizes. The custom duvet sizes which we offer are large and long single and emperor.
