Custom Mattress Toppers From Victoria Linen

Custom Mattress Toppers

At Victoria Linen Company, our goal is to bring you the highest quality premium bed linen in the sizes you need, for all of the bedrooms in your house. Our latest addition to the custom Bedding line is comfortable, cosy Custom Mattress Toppers.

You might ask, what exactly is a mattress topper? Is it the same as a protector? The answer is no. A mattress protector protects (funnily enough) your mattress and is much thinner than a topper. A mattress topper, on the other hand, is designed to enhance the comfort of your mattress and provide you with a better nights sleep. High quality custom mattress toppers can add support or softness depending on your mattress type and needs.

The original mattress toppers were foam “egg crates” and sometimes thin feather toppers. Now mattress toppers come in lots of different forms designed to relieve pressure, equalize body temperature, or lessen tossing and turning – all to provide a deeper, more restful sleep.

The latest range of Custom Mattress Toppers at Victoria Linen Company include Hollow Fibre, Duck Feather & Down and The luxurious Duck Feather and Down Combination with an extra 2cm layer of comfort on the top.

The cluster fibres mold to the shape of your body adding support and comfort wherever you need it. Buy an Adjustable Bed?

Adjustable-Bed
Adjustable Bed
Adjustable beds continue to grow in popularity worldwide. As the quality of these beds improves and the price comes down, more and more people are discovering the many advantages of adjustable beds.

Let’s face it; we humans spend a lot of time in bed – almost one-third of our lives! Knowing that humans spend so much time in bed, shouldn’t we seek the most comfortable bed possible? Adjustable beds may be just that – with study after study showing the real benefits.
One such benefit is that allows you to alter your sleeping position to enhance ergonomic positioning which supports the spine’s natural curvature and encourages a healthy and beneficial sleep posture. This in turn helps you avoid the many discomforts (acid reflux, aching joints, lower back pain) felt while sleeping which prohibit a truly good night’s rest.
Adjustable beds can also address the issue of back pain by promoting a sleep position in line with the body’s natural contours. This more instinctive sleep position aids in proper circulation and reduces strain on the heart. With the added incline, pressure is taken off of your back allowing you to sleep well without multiple pillows which add to back, neck and headache pains. The adjustable bed’s ability to deliver better sleep posture and position help to prevent lower back pain, sciatica (the painful condition in which the sciatic nerve is under pressure from the spine), headaches, back and neck pain as well as promoting enhanced joint flexibility.
The custom support offered by an adjustable bed also relieves tension caused by stress and the pain from arthritis. Not only that, but this elevated support at the head of your adjustable bed helps to promote healthy digestion and reduce acid reflux. Elevation at the foot of the bed can help to reduce swelling in the legs and feet as well fight against the development of varicose veins. In case of leg, ankle or foot injuries, physicians often recommend that you elevate the injury to help prevent pain and swelling; with an adjustable bed you can do that easily keeping your injury elevated “just as the doctor ordered.”
Now, there is one final benefit which you probably haven’t thought of as we’ve run through this little list of big benefits. Adjustable beds can actually help prevent snoring and alleviate some of the effects of obstructive sleep apnea. By adjusting the head of your adjustable bed slightly, your (or your partner’s) trachea is not obstructed reducing snoring and improving your rest. Though your adjustable bed custom positions won’t help all kinds of apnea, position change has been shown to improve the quality of sleep for those suffering from obstructive sleep apnea.
It’s obvious that adjustable beds have lots of advantages over the classic flat bed in terms of health, but how will you fit that adjustable bed into your décor and keep your bedroom as the peaceful and tranquil retreat you’ve created? Simply turn to the helpful, friendly and expert staff here at Victoria Linen Company for the perfect made to measure adjustable bed linens for your bed. We’ll be happy to help design the bedroom couture you’re looking for in the ideal fit for your adjustable bed!

Choosing the right Adjustable Bed

Buying an adjustable bed is a big purchase. Check out our handy guide to help you make the right choice.

If you’re considering buying an adjustable bed it could be for a number of reasons.  Maybe you’ve recently had an operation, been experiencing muscle pains or are just having trouble getting in and out of bed.

For whatever reason you need the bed, don’t just choose the first one you come across.  Adjustable beds can be an expensive purchase so you can’t afford to make careless decisions, they might hit your wallet hard! You have to be smart with your choice and make sure that when it’s choosing time, you end up with the right bed.

To help you make the right choice, here’s a handy guide to help you assess  the bed and make sure its got what you need:

The engine room

Check Out the Base ? To use cars as an example. Smart people know that the insides of the car are equally important, the engine, radiator for example matter more than the outside. The bling-blings of a car wouldn’t amount to much if the engine has a lifespan of three months!

Its the same when it comes to some adjustable beds, it’s the base that houses the machinery that makes your be move. You’re making the right choice if the base of your adjustable bed is manufactured by a well-known, reputable company.  A final tip is to try and get a bed with a sealed motor, these beds are quieter and require less maintenance.

Going up & coming down

How well can it move? First and foremost, choose an adjustable bed that has wheels.  This makes your cleaning regime easy, all you have to do is roll it somewhere and then you’re free to clean the space under and around the bed. Secondly, an adjustable bed with wheels can be easily transported to wherever it has to go, so if you ever move house it’ll make it much easier to get out the door.

Always check on how the bed is assembled.   Is it delivered in parts or fully assembled by the delivery men?  We would always go for an adjustable bed that is already assembled or only requires minimal assembly.  These beds and parts can be heavy and putting them together may be the last thing you need.  Plus, if you make a mistake when putting them together you may invalidate the warranty.  Also, you don’t need the hassle of continually calling technical support whenever something goes wrong.  We would strongly recommend your bed is delivered ready to go, or has a manual that a 10 year old kid can decipher.

Do your research!

I think the general rule here is research.  Make sure you find out about your adjustable bed by searching the internet.  There are some great sites out there who review beds and have some great advice, try mobility shopper for example or even google shopping.
